Frequently Asked Questions

We currently tell people to plan on ten days to three weeks for a turnaround time. However, during peak seasons, we request more time to handle orders. We will do our very best to get your order to you by the time you need it. If you know when you need it by and let us know, we will do everything we can to make it happen. Once the product has left our shop, how long the postal system gets the item to you is out of our hands.

Remember, there are several steps needed in sending an order. We get the order from you, create it, then we have to photograph it before packaging. You will receive tracking information when your package is shipped. Once the package has been shipped, I am no longer responsible for it. This includes if the address is incorrect and the item is returned to me. If you wish to pick it up, we will email you with directions. We are located in Greer, SC.

Please note that, at this time, I do not accept rush orders. I love crafting because I have time with my family. If you let me know that you need your item within the standard shipping time, I will do everything I can to make sure it gets to you by then. However, this is also why I do allow local pickups.

Unfortunately orders for personalized items cannot be cancelled, changed, or returned once they have been placed. Please be sure that you are certain of spelling, dates, etc before placing your order.

With that said, if the error is not on our end, I do not accept returns on customized items. In most cases, items with personalized content are non-refundable. If the matter is our fault, we most certainly will fix the issue. Just email us at sewingupdreams@gmail.com.

We request that you contact us the same week you receive an item if there is an issue. We will make arrangements with you to return the product and work to correct the error, if it was an error on our part. We do not allow cancellations once the item has started production.

When you are ordering, make sure you read the description listed on the product. Unless otherwise noted we will use the product selected to create your one of a kind piece. We can not guarantee the same exact fabric or colors; these options are based upon availability and access. Once your order has been processed, I will contact you with any questions I may have. We process orders according to receipt. 

We require payment to be made upon placement of the order. Due to the customization process, we cannot begin work until payment has been received. We do offer promotions from time to time however all payments are made in full prior to the start the order. We do accept various forms of payment.

I will post pictures of several orders on our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok). However, unless you approve, you will not be tagged. If you prefer not to have your items pictured, please let us know ahead of time. We do receive this request from people who have unique names and will see that the gift is for them.

We DO allow custom work! We have a few slots open each month for these projects. Special order requests should be emailed to us at sewingupdreams@gmail.com to ensure a spot. The number of spaces open will depend on the time of year, but we do everything we can to make it happen. I love new designs, and creating them makes me happy!

If you have a picture of something that you have seen, please let us know. We will do what we can to help make it for you. Contact us to discuss possibilities and prices. Be sure to send us pictures and as much information as possible so we can recreate it.

Most of our items will have product care instructions on the listing and then again in the packaging. For clothing items, you will want to turn the garment inside out. Wash it on the delicate cycle with like colors. Please do not use any bleach or other cleaning chemicals (such as OxiClean or Shout). Dry cleaning will prolong the quality of the embroidered threads. Do not iron the design, but you can iron the rest of the outfit if the material allows.

The images on our product listing pages are stock photos of items we have already made. We offer drop-down menus that allow you to select customization options for your specific project. If you need additional customization, please email me and let me know. We do occasionally substitute items such as specific brands, fabrics, tread colors, ribbons, or bows if they are out of stock. We use our best judgment and years of expertise to create a beautiful and unique piece for you. 

We do our best to make sure the finished product something you will love or love to give. Slight color variations are possible due to different monitor color settings. You are responsible for making sure you select the correct customization needs, such as size, style, and color. In addition, it is your responsibility to make sure any personalization has accurate spelling submitted.
